Running a staff restructure can be a daunting process and fell like you are navigating a minefield. Naturally, many owners and managers will try to avoid this but doing so may be detrimental to the business.  In reality over time business needs change depending on strategy, market conditions or consumer demands.  It is essential to consider these when reflecting on whether current staffing structures allow strategic business goals to be met.  If not, a restructure may be needed.

Restructures aren’t simply for making positions redundant, it could also be where significant changes need to be made to roles.

Whilst businesses need to be pragmatic, running a restructure comes with risks such as costly personal grievance claims, reputational damage,  reduced staff morale and fractured relationships.

This workshop supports managers and business owners to understand when they need to follow a formal restructure process, what that process should look like to ensure legal compliance, as well as how to communicate and run this in a way that minimises collateral damage through compassion for all who are impacted by it.
